This 1971 Porsche 911E is said to have spent time in Hawaii and Missouri prior to its acquisition by the seller in January 2018, after which it underwent a refurbishment by Terry Worick Restorations totaling almost $175,000 that concluded in November 2021. The car is finished in Gemini Blue over black leather upholstery and is powered by a 2.7-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Features include modified suspension and brakes, 15″ Fuchs wheels, yellow fog lights, and a Blaupunkt radio.

The car was taken down to bare metal and fitted with a replacement Dänsk front trunk lid, bumpers, front fenders, and inner and outer rocker panels before it was refinished in Gemini Blue (8686) using Glassurit paint. Replacement parts include the windshield, weatherstripping and gaskets, rocker and window trims, taillights, and parking lamps. The door and window frames were also refurbished. Features include yellow fog lights, a driver-side mirror, and gold-finished script on the engine lid.

Refinished 15×6″ Fuchs wheels are wrapped in 205/60 Yokohama Avid ENVigor tires. The suspension features replacement hardware, Elephant Racing rear adjustable spring plates, reinforced rear sway-bar mounts, Tarett RSR-style sway bars, Dänsk front control arms, larger 911SC torsion bars, and Bilstein struts and shocks. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with larger 911SC front brakes and ATE rotors.

Engine

The factory engine was replaced with a 2.7-liter flat-six built using the following parts:

  • Cleaned and tumbled 2.7L engine case with a shuffle pin, oil bypass modification, case savers, line-bored to standard, and spot facing of through bolts

  • Reconditioned 2.7 crankshaft and connecting rods

  • JE 10.5:1 pistons

  • WebCam performance camshaft

  • Ported and polished heads with replacement valves and components

  • PMO 40 carburetors

  • PMO intake manifolds

  • Clewett XDi crank-fired ignition system

  • Post-1974 fender-mount oil cooler system and hoses

  • Dänsk SSI heat exchangers and sport muffler

A dyno sheet is included showing 195 horsepower and 173 lb-ft of torque at the wheels on a Mustang dynamometer.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a rebuilt and modified Type 901 five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Modifications to the transaxle include:

  • Replacement bearings on main shaft and pinion shaft

  • 915 synchros

  • 915 dog teeth

  • Slider rings replaced

  • Reinforced side cover, intermediate plate, and intermediate plate clamp

  • WaveTrack limited-slip differential

  • WEVO shifter

The interior features seats upholstered in black leather with matching door panels and a replacement dash. Additional amenities include a replacement headliner, carpets, and door pockets along with black and blue Coco floor mats, a heater, and a Blaupunkt radio.

A MOMO Prototipo steering wheel frames VDO instruments restored by North Hollywood Speedometer including a centrally mounted tachometer with a 6,900-rpm redline, a 150-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and combination gauges for fuel level as well as oil pressure, level, and temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 82k miles, approximately 221 of which have been added by the seller. True mileage is unknown
