A rare 911S Targa. Not only does it have factory sport seats, the stainless steel muffler valence and through-the-grille fog lights, it’s in exceptional fundamental condition. No cracks on the dash and no holes in the floor.

A stainless steel slotted valence runs along the bottom rear edge of the car. Factory part number 901 505 904 00. This piece is an uncommon factory option. A similar trim piece appeared on 356 Carreras.

Many of these cars have suffered a lot of weather. Not this one. Rear seat pans in the floor of an early 911 are seldom seen as pristine as this.

The 911S and 911RS models featured an oil cooler. This car’s original oil cooler and oil reservoir tank are shown at left.  By cycling the system’s 11 quarts of oil through an extra length of tubing, some of the engine’s heat is dissipated.

New door and window seals and new carpet surround the sport seats and original dash.
